Smuggler Cache 02 Location & Route
Smuggler Cache 02 is a buried chest on a small cliff platform on the western border of Mount Selasa, just above the road that runs toward Research Station 57 and close to Lake Amari’s shoreline. You’ll climb up metal bars, then use a grapple swing to cross a gap to the cache ledge.
Follow these steps:
- Head to Mount Selasa on Akiva and look for the road leading south toward Research Station 57, along the western side of the region near Lake Amari.
- Ride along this road until you’re near the western edge of the Mount Selasa map, where the cliffs rise up on your eastern side (lake on one side, rock wall on the other).
- Watch the cliff face for a grapple point or hook and a set of metal bars/handholds you can climb, this marks the start of the route up to the cache.
- Dismount and climb the metal bars and ledges, working your way upward until you reach a small upper platform.
- From this platform, look ahead for a grapple point across a small gap. Use your grapple/rope to hook onto it, then swing across and pull yourself up so you can reach the far cliff edge. You may need to reel in slightly to get enough height to grab the ledge.
- Climb up onto this final ledge. Here, on the cliff platform overlooking Lake Amari and the road, you’ll find the Smuggler Cache 02 crate half-buried in the ground.
- Interact with the crate to open Smuggler Cache 02 and loot the stash. There’s usually another grapple point nearby you can use to get back down quickly to the road.
With Jet Kordo’s Holotracker active, the beeps and flashes will speed up as you ride the western road toward Research Station 57, then go almost constant once you start climbing and swing onto the platform with the cache.
Reward: Materials and Valuables
Smuggler Cache 02 rewards a bundle of materials and valuables, not a single unique named item:
- Upgrade materials you can use on blaster, speeder, or gear upgrades.
- Valuables/credits you can sell to vendors for extra money.
Once you know to follow the western Mount Selasa road toward Research Station 57, climb the metal bars, and swing across to the cliff platform, this becomes a quick, satisfying grab for easy upgrade fodder and cash on Akiva.
