Smuggler Cache 42 Location & Route
Smuggler Cache 42 sits on top of an isolated rock platform in The Mirage, directly under a tree, and you can’t climb straight up to it. Instead, you’ll use a nearby rock ramp and your speeder to jump across onto the platform.
Follow these steps:
- Travel to The Mirage on Toshara and look for the Pyke Syndicate workshop on your map (the main Pyke facility in this region).
- From the workshop, head west into the open rocky area. You’re looking for a raised rock platform with a single tree on top – that’s where the cache is.
- Circle around the area until you spot a sloping rock ramp on a neighboring outcrop, lined up roughly level with the treetop platform. This ramp points toward the rock with the tree.
- Hop on your speeder and ride up the natural rock ramp, keeping your line straight so you launch toward the tree-topped platform.
- As you reach the lip of the ramp, hold your line and let the speeder carry you across the gap. If you’re struggling, back up a bit farther before your run-up so you have more speed for the jump.
- Land on the platform with the tree. Dismount and look around the base of the tree, the Smuggler Cache 42 crate is sitting here on the ground.
- Interact with it to open Smuggler Cache 42 and grab your loot.
If you have Jet Kordo’s Holotracker active, it will start beeping faster and blinking as you ride west of the Pyke workshop and line yourself up with the rock ramp and tree platform, confirming you’re in the right spot.
Reward: Blaster and Speeder Materials
Smuggler Cache 42 rewards you with blaster and speeder upgrade materials rather than a single named item.
These materials can be fed into:
- Blaster upgrades (damage, cooling, or special shot types)
- Speeder upgrades (handling, speed, durability, etc.)
Since you’re likely cruising through The Mirage for other objectives anyway, it’s an easy stop: one clean speeder jump onto the tree-topped rock, and you walk away with straightforward upgrade fodder for both your blaster and speeder.
