Smuggler Cache 79 Location & Route
Smuggler Cache 79 involves a short climb and a single grapple swing along the cliffs near Curtek Homestead. The key is to start from the road below the homestead, climb up the vertical wall, then take the right-hand path instead of heading straight to the house.
Follow these steps:
- Go to South Jundland Wastes on Tatooine and set Curtek Homestead as your objective on the map.
- Ride along the main road that runs beneath Curtek Homestead. Look up toward the homestead icon and find the climbable vertical rock wall beside the road that leads up to the property. This is the same climb you’d use to reach the homestead itself.
- Dismount and climb the vertical wall, using the handholds and ledges until you reach the top of the climb, on a narrow ledge at cliff level.
- At the top of the climb, if you face forward: Left takes you toward Curtek Homestead and its locked door treasure, Right is a narrow path along the cliff that leads toward Smuggler Cache 79. Take the right-hand path.
- Follow this tight cliffside path as it winds away from the homestead. Keep going until you reach a gap with a grapple point above it.
- Equip your grapple and hook onto the grapple point. When you swing, note that the target ledge is not directly in front of you, it’s slightly off to one side. Start your swing, then angle your push toward the side ledge so you land cleanly on it rather than swinging straight ahead into the wall.
- Once you land on the far ledge, look around the cliff edge: the Smuggler Cache 79 crate is half-buried in the dirt and rock on this ledge.
- Interact with the crate to open Smuggler Cache 79 and grab your loot.
With Jet Kordo’s Holotracker active, you’ll notice the beeps and flashes speed up as you climb from the road, then go almost constant as you walk the narrow cliff path and line up the grapple swing toward the cache ledge.
