Smuggler Cache 81 Location & Route
Smuggler Cache 81 is an easy grab once you know where to look: it’s half-buried beside a lone boulder in the open sand, southeast of Bestine and a little west of a small farm where a NPC complains about a missing Bantha.
Follow these steps:
- Travel to Bestine in Desert Valley on Tatooine.
- Ride your speeder out of Bestine heading southeast, aiming for the open desert rather than following the road back toward Jabba’s territory.
- As you leave the city behind, keep drifting more south than east, so you’re moving into the southern half of the “southeast of Bestine” wedge on your map.
- Watch for a small moisture-farmer homestead in the distance – this is the spot tied to a farmer missing a Bantha. Smuggler Cache 81 is not at the farm itself, but it’s a great reference point.
- From the farm, ride slightly west and a bit north, scanning the sand for a single, prominent boulder sitting away from other rock formations.
- Dismount near this large rock and circle around its base. The Smuggler Cache 81 crate is half-buried right beside the boulder, in slightly disturbed sand.
- Interact with the crate to open Smuggler Cache 81 and loot the stash.
With Jet Kordo’s Holotracker active, you’ll notice the beeps and flashes speed up as you ride southeast from Bestine, then go rapid when you get close to the boulder and disturbed sand, confirming you’re on top of the cache.
