Smuggler Cache 88 Location & Route
Smuggler Cache 88 is half-buried on a tiny beach at the edge of a small lake, right next to a waterfall where the northern branch of the river ends at the very eastern border of The Lost Steppe.
Follow these steps:
- Head to The Lost Steppe on Toshara and make your way to the main river that winds through the region. Your speeder makes this much faster.
- Once you’re by the river, start riding east, following the water downstream. Stay close to the riverbank so you don’t lose sight of it.
- Eventually the river will split into two branches near the far eastern end of The Lost Steppe. When you reach this fork, take the northern branch (the one veering slightly left if you’re facing east).
- Keep following this northern fork all the way until it ends at a small lake and a waterfall pressed up against the map’s eastern boundary. You’re basically at the edge of the world here.
- Dismount and walk down onto the tiny beach/shoreline beside the lake, close to where the waterfall hits the water.
- The Smuggler Cache 88 crate is half-buried in the sand/rocks right next to the water, near the base of the waterfall. Interact with it to open Smuggler Cache 88 and grab your loot.
- If you have Jet Kordo’s Holotracker active, you’ll notice the beeps and flashes speed up as you follow the river east and then up the northern fork, going almost frantic when you’re standing on the beach by the lake and falls.
Reward: Materials and Valuables
Smuggler Cache 88 doesn’t hold a single unique named item; instead, it gives you a bundle of materials and valuables for the Miyuki Trade League:
- Upgrade materials you can use for blaster, speeder, or gear upgrades.
- Valuables/credits that can be sold to vendors for extra money.
Once you know to follow the river east, take the northern fork, and ride it all the way to the lake and waterfall at the far eastern border, this becomes a very straightforward grab for easy upgrade fodder and cash.
