The Dreadnought is Amalia‘s unique class in Unicorn Overlord, an armored powerhouse with devastating physickal attacks, strong defense, and the ability to smash through barriers and barricades.
She’s essentially a walking siege engine who combines the tankiness of armored classes with the offensive power of Gladiators.
Strengths
The Dreadnought has excellent physickal attack and strong defense, making Amalia both a damage dealer and a capable frontline tank. She can take hits and dish them out, which is a rare combination at her power level.
Her attacks are powerful with high potency, and she can hit multiple enemies with area-of-effect strikes. She’s like a Gladiator who can also tank.
The Barrier Breaker leader effect lets her unit destroy gates and barricades easily, making her ideal for maps with destructible obstacles.
Her overall stat balance (high HP, strong attack, good defense) makes her one of the most well-rounded combat units in the game.
Weaknesses
Low initiative means she acts late in combat.
As an armored class, she’s vulnerable to anti-armor attacks from Warriors and magick damage from casters.
She’s only recruited late-game (after beating her in the Colosseum post-“Another Prince”), so she’s unavailable for most of the story.
No promotion.
Key Skills and How to Use Them
Devastating Strike is a powerful single-target attack with high potency.
Sweeping Blow hits multiple enemies, providing area damage.
Guard reduces incoming damage with high guard rate.
Barrier Break bonus effectiveness against gates and barricades.
Best Team Compositions and Tactics
Amalia + Cleric provides healing support for her high HP pool.
Amalia + Radiant Knight covers her magick weakness.
Amalia + any damage support amplifies her already strong offense.
Position in the front row. She can both tank and deal damage from the frontline.
Characters Who Use This Class
Amalia is the only Dreadnought. She’s recruited by winning colosseum fights after “Another Prince.” She’s level 40, so this is effectively a late-game/endgame recruit.
Final Thoughts
The Dreadnought is a late-game powerhouse.
Amalia combines the best traits of tanks and damage dealers in one package.
The late recruitment timing means she misses most of the story, but for endgame and post-game content, she’s one of the strongest units you can field.
If you can get her, she’s absolutely worth a spot in your army.
