Mordon is a hammer-wielding Warrior who exists to crack armored fronts. He brings DEF-ignoring smashes that delete Hoplites/Fighters, Guard Seal to shut off enemy blocks, and an AP refund on kill to keep swinging. On the overworld, his Barrier Breaker leader effect speeds up sieges and lane cuts.

How to Recruit Mordon

Clear the Liberation Quest “The Battle for Barbatimo.” After you win, choose to spare him in the post-battle scene to recruit Mordon, and you also unlock the ability to rebuild broken bridges on the overworld. If you execute him instead, you get a small Honors payout and lose both the recruit and the bridge-repair utility.

Class Overview: Warrior (Infantry / Axe — Anti-Armor Bruiser)

Identity: Premium tank-buster, Unguardable DEF-ignore into armored targets, Guard Seal setup, and AP on kill snowballing.

Leader Effect: Barrier Breaker (destroys barricades faster).

Valor (Field): Heavy Swing (AoE chip in range; instantly destroys barricades).

Stats and Growth

(Game8 base profile; letters are relative to cast norms.)

  • AP / PP: 1 / 1 – feels lean, but Assaulting Blow refunds +1 AP on kill.
  • HP: C – workable frontline pool; bring sustain or cover.
  • Physical ATK / DEF: S / B – elite damage, solid armor.
  • Mag ATK / DEF: F / C – respect mage lanes.
  • Accuracy / Evasion: D / D – accuracy support helps avoid momentum-killing whiffs.
  • Crit / Guard Rate: C / C – can be pushed with gear; doesn’t rely on guarding.
  • Initiative: C – typically acts after setup allies.

Skills and Abilities

Actives

  • Heavy Smash (1 AP): Single-target; ignores 100% DEF vs Armored (unguardable), your tank delete button.
  • Assaulting Blow (1 AP, Lv10): Single-target; +1 AP if target dies, core snowball tool; script to finish low-HP foes.

Passive

  • Binding Guard (1 PP): Next attack inflicts Guard Seal, turns off enemy blocks for your whole squad.

Valor (Field)

  • Heavy Swing: AoE chip and instant barricade break, great for opening assaults and map control.

Best Equipment and Accessories

Axe – Black-Iron Axe: High Phys ATK with a bit of Crit to push kill thresholds.

Armor: Mixed or Phys-leaning; swap to Mag-resist when casters dominate.

Accessories:

  • Carnelian Pendant (+1 AP): Enables Binding Guard → Heavy Smash or Smash → Assaulting Blow in one clash.
  • Mercenary’s Eyepatch (+Crit): Helps confirm Assaulting Blow kills for AP refunds.
  • Accuracy trinket (flex): Offsets D Accuracy, especially vs evasive lines.

Ideal Unit Placement & Team Synergy

Front-row tank-buster/finisher in squads that set up armored targets:

DEF-Down / debuffers (Aubin, shamans) to soften anchors so Smash/Assault secure kills.

Accuracy or True-Strike enablers (e.g., Alcina’s focus/True-Strike lines) to mitigate whiffs.

Healers/cover tanks (Hoplite/Feathershield, Cleric) to keep him trading safely on the front.

Ranged DPS (archers/casters) that capitalize on Guard Seal windows.

Tips and Strategy

Tactic suggestions (priority order):

  1. Binding Guard (PP) → No condition (prime next hit with Guard Seal to open the lane).
  2. Heavy Smash (1 AP) → Condition: “Prioritize Armored / priority tank” (DEF-ignore, unguardable).
  3. Assaulting Blow (1 AP) → Condition: “Target HP ≤ 50%” (secure the KO → +1 AP to chain).
  4. Valor – Heavy Swing → Field use: soften clustered squads and break barricades before engaging.

Play notes

Set up → break → chain. Guard Seal first, then Heavy Smash, then cash a kill with Assaulting Blow to keep actions flowing.

Pick your lane. Aim Mordon at armor density; rotate him out of high-evasion skirmishes unless you have True-Strike support.

Spare him! Recruiting Mordon not only adds a premium tank-buster, it also unlocks bridge rebuilding for faster map routing and more loot access.

Final Thoughts

Mordon is your lane prybar: he turns off guard, ignores armor, and refunds AP to keep momentum rolling. Build ATK + accuracy, script Guard Seal into DEF-ignore swings, and assign him to the enemy’s most fortified lane, he’ll open it for the rest of your squad to sweep.
