The Priestess is Scarlett‘s unique class in Unicorn Overlord, a hybrid healer and anti-armor mage from the Palevian Orthodoxy.
Once promoted to High Priestess, Scarlett gains resurrection capability and even stronger healing and offensive magick.
The Priestess does what Clerics do but adds magick offense on top, making her one of the best support characters in the game.
Strengths
The Priestess combines healing with offensive magick, something regular Clerics can’t do.
She can both keep allies alive and deal significant damage to armored enemies with magick attacks that bypass physickal defense.
Her anti-armor effectiveness makes her especially useful against Hoplites and Fighters, she can heal your tank and blast the enemy tank in the same battle.
After promotion, the High Priestess gains Resurrection, which revives fallen allies during battle. This is one of the most powerful support skills in the game and can turn a losing fight around.
The leader effect, Healing Assist, provides passive healing support for allied units.
Weaknesses
Like Clerics, the Priestess is fragile with low HP and defense. She needs front-row protection.
Her offensive damage, while useful, doesn’t match dedicated casters like Wizards or Warlocks.
The class is unique to Scarlett (though she’s a permanent party member, so this isn’t really a limitation).
Key Skills and How to Use Them
Heal restores HP to an ally. Standard healing.
Holy Light deals magick damage to a single enemy, effective against armored targets.
Magick Barrier protects an ally from magick damage.
Resurrection (High Priestess only) revives a fallen ally during battle. Game-changing.
Row Heal (High Priestess) heals all allies in a row.
Promotion to High Priestess
Very high priority. Resurrection alone makes this one of the most impactful promotions in the game. Promote Scarlett as soon as you can after Alain.
Best Team Compositions and Tactics
Scarlett + Alain is the natural pairing from the story and works excellently in practice. Scarlett heals while Alain fights.
Priestess + Hoplite provides both healing and magick damage to cover the Hoplite’s weaknesses.
Priestess + any physical tank benefits from the healing support and anti-armor offense.
Position Scarlett in the back row. Set Heal to target the most damaged ally and Holy Light against armored enemies.
Characters Who Use This Class
Scarlett is the only Priestess/High Priestess. She joins at the very start alongside Alain and is a permanent party member.
Final Thoughts
The Priestess/High Priestess is arguably the best support class in the game.
Healing, magick offense, barriers, and Resurrection after promotion make Scarlett an incredible unit that fits into any army composition.
Promote her early and keep her in your most important unit, the Resurrection safety net alone is worth it.
